Combinatorial knowledge dynamics, innovative performance, and transition studies

Cross-domain research and development has prevailed in regional transformation disruptive innovation the last 15 years. Recently, a new concept, termed combinatorial knowledge bases (CKBs), offers insights into combining dynamics is considered good approach to explore recombinant innovative activities. Here, we review literature on CKBs Western economic geography, introduce agenda for China’s geography. Concerning latter, four aspects are elaborated: co-evolution of chain industrial chain, geography activiinnovative entrepreneurship path development, system reconfiguration. This paper contributes theoretical studies by linking Chinese-specific phenomena.
